FAQs

  • What is special about Cabaña Owen?

    A beachfront boho cabaña that was once the home of a friend of Jacques Cousteau, and still carries that easy spirit and love of the ocean. Intimate, and perfect for couples or small groups.

  • Where is it?

    On the seafront, on the rocky point at the end of Playa Las Gatas, beside Casa Las Gatas; the frontage is rock and the sandy beach is a few steps away.

  • How do you get there?

    Only by boat (panga); there is no road access. We help arrange the crossing with local boatmen.

  • Is there a charge for the boat transfer?

    Access is by boat, operated by local boatmen, at roughly MXN 600 for the round trip depending on the schedule; we coordinate it. Pier parking is MXN 150 per day.

  • How many guests does it sleep?

    It sleeps six, with room for up to eight (two additional). Each extra guest is US$50 per day. There are three bedrooms.

  • What service is included?

    Daily housekeeping. The cooking service is optional — a cook on advance request, MXN 500 per day.

  • Are meals included?

    No; the groceries go through our shopping service (MXN 1,200 per stay plus the cost of the food).

  • Is there air-conditioning?

    Suites 1 and 2 have it; room 1 does not.

  • Is there a pool?

    Yes, along with an open-air tub set beneath the palms.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Yes, up to two.
